PRESS RELEASE. On August 4, 2022, Gemux Ltd successfully completed the acquisition of all shares of Triton Advanced Search Ltd.
The acquisition will allow Gemux to expand its scope of activities into new markets and reach new customers that were previously beyond their reach. Indeed, Triton, specializing in metal treatments and finishes since 1956, will broaden the range of products and services offered by Gemux. The latter is an expert in vacuum and compression industry services and products, as well as process mixers, engineered systems, classifiers, and high-pressure reactors.
“The acquisition of Triton finally gives meaning to our new payoff that has been distinguishing us for about a year now,” says Massimo Meoni, President of Gemux. “We knew that choosing the motto ‘Made for the Industry,’ without specific references to the vacuum and compression industry, might sound peculiar to some. In fact, more than one person had asked me if this motto was too presumptuous. With the acquisition of Triton, our mission becomes clearer. By complementing Gemux’s traditional market with another market that does not overlap with our current offerings, we open the doors to the formation of a dedicated ‘group’ that truly embodies the ‘Made for the Industry’ payoff.”
Meoni continues: “Triton specializes in the design and production of complex machines and systems. In over 60 years of activity, they have served over 5,000 customers worldwide, providing high-tech products with applications in various manufacturing sectors. This is exactly what we aim to do at Gemux. The acquisition of Triton will help us take another step in that direction.”
When asked whether the creation of a holding company that holds shares in other companies dedicated to providing products and services for the manufacturing industry is foreseeable in the future, President Meoni does not answer directly. However, the smile with which he receives the question suggests that the acquisitions within Gemux might not stop here.
And it shouldn’t be otherwise. The new team of managers leading Gemux is determined to achieve significant milestones. The group of people that the managers have surrounded themselves with shares this desire: the company’s technicians, employees, and external collaborators all hope to achieve increasingly ambitious and challenging goals to strive for.
As of now, it has not been revealed whether and how economies of scale resulting from the acquisition of the new company will benefit Gemux. Further details about the acquisition will be disclosed in the coming weeks.
